Catherine Feeney: Business unusual at WFP

This year marks the end of the World Food Program’s five-year pilot initiative to purchase locally produced food from farmers’ organizations. What has the agency learned from the exercise?

It took a bit of time to locate partners for WFP’s Purchase for Progress, Catherine Feeney, senior program advisor for the project, told Devex Editor Rolf Rosenkranz at the 2012 European Development Days in Brussels. For the agency, P4P is not “business as usual,” she explained.
